LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu vs. LHP Max Fried
No-Run First Inning: Blue Jays @ Braves (-115)
No-Run First Inning (NRFI) May 12: Blue Jays @ Braves
Bet $20, Payout $37
I typically like to stay away from any NRFI including either of these teams, given the raw power at the top of their lineups with Ronald Acuña Jr. and Freddie Freeman in Atlanta and Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in Toronto. However, this pitching matchup bodes well for a solidly-valued NRFI. Hyun-Jin Ryu is beginning to find his footing coming back from injury, and Max Fried seems to be reeling it in after a brutal start to his 2021 season. At -115 value, I love the payout for this compared to most NRFI bets.
