2021 NBA Draft Schedule: When You Can Watch
- 2021 NBA Draft Combine: Monday, June 21, through Sunday, June 27 (TV: ESPN)
- 2021 NBA Draft Lottery: Tuesday, June 22 (TV 8:30 p.m. E.T. on ESPN)
- 2021 NBA Draft: Thursday, July 29 (TV 8:00 p.m. E.T. on ESPN & ABC)
2021 NBA Draft Lottery System
On June 22, the NBA will host the draft lottery, when lottery-eligible teams will have ping=pong balls determine their draft positioning. The three teams with the worst records will share 14 percent odds at the No. 1 overall selection.
This lottery system is the NBA’s way of de-incentivizing tanking while randomizing the draft order to give bad teams a fair shot at better selections.
