April 2 MLB Prop Bet Picks
Anthony Rendon, Los Angeles Angels vs. Chicago White Sox (9:38 p.m. ET)
To Record 2+ Hits (+160)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 2.60 units)
Anthony Rendon To Record 2+ Hits (Angels vs. White Sox)
12/31, 7:00 PM
Bet $20, Payout $52
Rendon was on twice on Opening Day via a single and walk, and I like this price on the prospect of him garnering his first multi-hit effort of the young season Friday. The slugger owns a .333 average in 15 career plate appearances against White Sox starter Dallas Keuchel and has historically raked against the left-hander’s two favorite pitches, the sinker and cutter. Rendon is also an excellent contact hitter overall and posted a mammoth .427 on-base percentage at home last season, making this wager worthy of a flyer.
Trevor Bauer, Los Angeles Dodgers at Colorado Rockies (8:40 p.m. ET)
Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-115)
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.87 units)
Trevor Bauer Over 7.5 Strikeouts (Dodgers @ Rockies)
12/31, 7:00 PM
Bet $20, Payout $37
Bauer recorded at least eight strikeouts in seven of 12 starts in 2020 on his way to a career-best 35.3 percent strikeout rate. He’s posted double-digit K/9s in four straight seasons and ramped up for the ’21 campaign by racking up 19 punchouts over his last 15 Cactus League frames. The Rockies also struck out against righties at a 24.2 percent clip last season, and Bauer has a well-established track record of hanging in games long enough to have a strong chance of exceeding this benchmark – he worked at least six innings in all but one start last season and 24 of 34 in 2019.
