theScore Bet Hands-on Review

theScore Bet Sportsbook is one of the better apps out there.

Originally, in December 2018, theScore announced plans to form a mobile sportsbook in New Jersey with Monmouth Park Racetrack after securing an official licensing partnership through Darby Development LLC. This would help pave the way for theScore to enter online and mobile betting in the state.

In July 2019, theScore and Penn National Gaming entered into an 11-state framework agreement. September 2019 saw theScore Bet launch in New Jersey with Darby Development LLC, and it has since expanded to Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa.

However, they decided to operate exclusively in Ontario, Canada. Penn National Gaming sought to focus theScore brand on where it’s more prominent, having originated in Toronto, Ontario. They opted to use Barstool Sportsbook to target American bettors.

theScore Bet features live betting and many traditional wagering options such as Moneylines, Totals, Point Spreads, Player Props, Parlays, and more.

One of the more likable features of theScore Bet is the ability to build a parlay in a single game, usually known as Single Game Parlays. They also feature teasers on the tab of the bet slip making it quite convenient.

While the props market isn’t as robust as other sportsbooks, there are still enough options to keep you satisfied.

If you’re looking for a reliable and interactive platform in Ontario, Canada, theScore Bet is a nice choice.

Is theScore Bet Sportsbook Legit?

Yes, theScore Bet Sportsbook is fully legitimate. It is regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to ensure compliance with integrity and security standards.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at theScore Bet Sportsbook?

Yes, you can win real money at theScore Bet Sportsbook. The betting site offers regulated real money sports betting options in Ontario, Canada. Financial transactions are safe and secure.

My theScore Bet App Experience

I like how easy theScore Bet app is to use. Downloading is simple as you just need to go to the App Store, search, and download. That’s it. One can do the same thing on Android devices as well. But keep in mind, the theScore app and theScore Bet Sportsbook app are separate entities when searching.

Once logged in, all the general betting functions are pretty much the same across Google and iOS interfaces. The app features the familiar buttons on the bottom that tab out in greater detail like the betslip, account, all sports, the home button.

When you want to place a bet, the process is pretty straightforward. theScore Bet Sportsbook is one of the best when it comes to updated odds. It is part of why they are one of the easiest sportsbooks to use in Ontario.

The nice thing is when you click on an event to bet there are even more options — some traditional and some non-traditional. Look for the tabs that are right in the boxscore. Again, that is extremely convenient. It is point and touch at its finest.

theScore Bet’s calling card is just how easy betting features are when it comes to the app. Simply put, it delivers. When I am typically placing a wager, I do not have time for all sorts of pop-ups, extra frills, ads with sound, and so on.

Should You Bet at theScore?

theScore Bet strives to keep its sportsbook as simple and user-friendly as possible while still offering lots of betting options. The site is kept simple by design, but theScore Bet Sportsbook goes the extra mile with their box score betting fused methods. Just push, click, and bet!

Customer service, like with any website or app, can be a little hit or miss. However, theScore Bet ironically has better ways to get support with their desktop site than their app. It is a small complaint, but a little digging for information is not a terrible minus.

The layout is fairly simple on the site — from easy and quick bets to single-game parlay options and much more. This is great because there are so many options at your disposal.

It’s geared towards bettors who want to place wagers quickly and efficiently without getting bogged down or overwhelmed, but there is room to explore as well if you have more time.

Some of these bets can lock a bit early, but theScore Bet Sportsbook does have very competitive odds/numbers for values.

Again, explore all of your options with the platform itself. theScore Bet is one of the nicer books around with its convenient and easy-to-use app, which makes it worth checking out.

theScore Bet allows me to make rapid-fire bets or take a look around and gaze at all the options. If I want to spend more time, I can. It allows me to do this from one place and all from the palm of my hand. The level of convenience and the easy-to-follow format makes that big of a difference.

How To Join theScore Bet Sportsbook

theScore Bet Odds

theScore Bet pricing mostly falls in line with the market. With moneylines, you’ll often see a minimal disparity between favorites and underdogs. For example, a -125 favorite will have a +105 underdog.

They’re a bit inflated on spreads, as I’ve noticed -120/+100 and -115/-105 at times. This differs from the standard -110/-110. That extra 5-10 cents can make a difference in the long run.

Player props can get a bit pricey, getting up to -150 odds at times. However, you’ll still be able to find some value with plus odds here.

Overall, you’ll be feeling satisfied with the odds at theScore Bet.

Best theScore Bet Betting Odds

The best betting odds here are with moneylines, as you won’t have to play inflated prices.

I really enjoyed the selection in the hockey market here, as you get to choose several players for different outcomes, especially shots on goal.

This is something not often offered on other platforms, so be sure to target the NHL at theScore Bet.

Leagues You Can Bet On

There are many sports one can bet on from all over the world via theScore Bet Sportsbook. Some of the leagues include:

  • Baseball
  • Basketball

theScore Bet Sportsbook has many of the props and parlays one has grown to love and includes the following options:

  • Spreads
  • Moneylines
  • Totals

  • Live
  • Parlays
  • Props
  • Round Robins
  • Teasers

Rewards System

theScore Bet Sportsbook does offer a VIP rewards system. One just has to email vip@thescore.com for further details.

If one is enrolled in another rewards system on another platform, that will look favorable on approval, and so on. This is an invitation-only rewards system.

Customer Service

theScore Bet is a bit different in the sense that one should be logged into the app. That seems to facilitate better customer service.

When on the app, go to the upper right-hand corner where your initials are and click on that. From there, one can click on Help to access more options.

theScore Bet Sportsbook has a contingency on their desktop site. One cannot bet there, but the support link is more prevalent and easier to find.

There is a spread-out way to get help for frequently asked questions, account information, legal issues, and how to bet. They also has a live chat available 24/7.

You can call their customer service at 1-855-550-1238. However, some of the time (maybe 25%), I simply received a recording, which put me back to square one in most cases.

When I was able to get through, the experience was better compared to other sites in that customer representatives seemed more knowledgeable to answer even more nuanced questions.

States Where You Can Bet at theScore Bet Sportsbook

You aren’t able to wager at theScore Bet in the United States. If you’re looking for a Penn National Gaming platform, check out Barstool Sportsbook.

This is where you can place a bet at theScore Bet Sportsbook:

theScore Bet does have an online casino. You can play slots, blackjack, roulette, and much more. There is also live dealer contests available. I highly recommend checking it out due to its accessibility and expansive selection of games.
