The USMNT World Cup Squad Will Be Revealed on May 26
The 2026 World Cup is set to begin on June 11, and just weeks before that, the United States Men’s National Team roster will be released on May 26.
Before the games actually begin, this is one of the most exciting parts of the World Cup as fans of the United States squad will see who will represent them in the field of 48 teams from six confederations.
The roster reveal will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm, live on FOX Sports.
More About the Reveal
This event will last about three hours because it’s more than just revealing the 26 players set to represent the United States; instead, it will be a full-on event.
At 1 pm, the doors to the event will open, and from 1 to 3, Pier 17 in New York will provide food, music, giveaways, surprise reveals, and more.
Then, at 3 pm, the roster reveal will begin.
This reveal comes before two friendly matches: against Senegal on May 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and against Germany on July 6 in Chicago.
These will be the first opportunities to see the squad in action before the team opens the World Cup on June 12 against Paraguay in Los Angeles.
In March, manager Mauricio Pochettino had this to say about the roster:
“I am happy with more than 26 players,” Pochettino said. “Because in one year and a half, I think we have made different selections. We will assess nearly two years of working with more than 70 players… We are going to add and put in the table all of our capacity and knowledge to select the right 26 – not the best, the right 26 – with the possibility to compete in the best way for representing our country in that exciting World Cup.”
He emphasized the concept of finding “the right 26.”

The United States, as one of the three host countries alongside Canada and Mexico, would be the first hosting country to win the event since France did so in 1998, when they beat Brazil 3-0.
