Week 12 Prop Bets | Browns vs. Ravens For 1st Score, Winning Margin & More

The AFC North has been fairly close all season long. Here, we get a matchup between the first-place Baltimore Ravens and the last place Cleveland Browns.

While that sounds like a discrepancy, the Browns are 6-5, while the Ravens are 7-3.

If the Browns were to win this game and the Cincinnati Bengals, the second-place team in the AFC North, were to win, this would knock the Ravens down to the No. 6 seed.

However, there is a situation where the Ravens could very well be the No. 1 seed in the AFC should they and the New England Patriots win.

It’s cliche to say, but every game is a must-win, especially in a volatile AFC.

The Ravens will be at home and are favored in this matchup.

Can the Browns pull off the upset? Well, for the sake of these bets, we’re not so much concerned with that.

Here is a look at three of the top props from this game that you need to throw some money down on.

Browns vs. Ravens Prop Bets: NFL Week 12 Prop Betting Picks

First Score: Ravens Field Goal (+330) at Caesars

Wager: 1.0 units

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a close win, but that was without quarterback Lamar Jackson as he sat out due to illness.

Jackson is expected back this week, but we don’t know if this illness is lingering or not. There can be an element of rust from the time off due to the illness, so we could see the Ravens start a bit slower but still score first with a field goal.

Over the last two weeks, the Browns have failed to reach 14 points. They did put up 41 a few weeks back against the Bengals, but quarterback Baker Mayfield is really beat up. This team is going to have trouble scoring in general against this Ravens defense. This season, the Browns have not been exactly stellar against the run, and the Ravens have a dynamic weapon in Jackson.

The Ravens scoring a touchdown as the first scoring play is a more favored line, but the potential for rust and some lingering elements of illness could result in a field goal for the Ravens to take a 3-0 lead.

Winning Margin: Ravens by 7-12 Points (+400) at Caesars

Wager: 1.0 units

The Ravens are only favored by three and a half at home against the Browns. Of course, at +400 odds for a winning margin of 7-12, we’re incurring a sizable amount of risk.

As mentioned, though, the Browns are not scoring on offense lately. Last week, they scored 13 against the Detroit Lions.

The Ravens have a solid defense and will be more than enough to take advantage of a wounded Mayfield.

The Browns will have running back Nick Chubb back for his third game in a row since injury and could have fellow running back Kareem Hunt back from a calf injury. Hunt has been out since Week 6, so it’s possible he doesn’t play as many snaps as normal, especially coming off an injury such as the calf.

Jackson may be a tad rusty out of the gate, but once he gets in a rhythm, he could become quite a headache for the Browns. Add in the hopeful return of wide receiver Marquise Brown and the Ravens will have a potent enough offense to outscore a tattered Mayfield-led offense.

Over his last two games, Mayfield has combined for 249 passing yards, two touchdowns and interceptions, and a fumble.

The Ravens will win by a touchdown or more here.

Most Punts: Cleveland Browns (-105) at Caesars

Wager: 1.0 units

This just goes back to the point about Mayfield’s injuries. Chubb and a returning Hunt should help move the sticks, but these are their only hopes on offense. Expect the Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh to game plan heavily for this.

There are going to be some drives where the Browns simply cannot get into scoring range or be dealt a three-and-out.

At -105, this is a clear smash play. The Browns run less than 70 offensive snaps per game and run the ball 45 percent of the time.

The ailments from the quarterback and the defensive game planning surrounding these fantastic running backs will lead to more appearances of Jamie Gillan than Sam Koch.
