NHL Bets of the Day 11/3/21

Best Bet: Hurricanes Moneyline (-150) at BetMGM

Wager: 2 units

The Carolina Hurricanes (8-0-0) have to lose eventually, right? The only team left in the NHL that is undefeated has looked excellent, to say the least, and I’m not expecting them to stop against the lowly Chicago Blackhawks (1-7-2).

Carolina is currently sporting an absurd +21 goal differential through eight games, demonstrating just how dominant they have actually been. On the other hand, the Blackhawks have the second-worst goal differential in the league at -16 as goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has looked like a far cry from his prime.

Back the Canes to win outright over one of the worst teams in the NHL.

Best Bet: Blue Jackets +1.5 (-135) at BetMGM

Wager: 1.5 units

The Columbus Blue Jackets (5-3-0) head to Colorado to face the Avalanche (4-4-0) in this one. The Avs have disappointed so far, but I firmly believe they will eventually find their way and make the playoffs once again.

However, for this game, I believe there is a different outcome in store.

Columbus has looked pretty solid to start the season off, and I just don’t see an enormous difference between them and the current standing of the Avs.

Back the Blue Jackets to cover the puck line.

Best Bet: Blues Moneyline (-135) at BetMGM

Wager: 1 unit

The St. Louis Blues (6-1-0) will hit the road to face the Los Angeles Kings (3-5-1) on Wednesday night.

The Blues have obviously been playing great hockey, evidenced by their record and +14 goal differential thus far. On the other hand, the Kings were largely expected to be one of the bottom of the barrel teams in the NHL this season and look the part early on. Los Angeles currently has a -3 goal differential.

The Blues and Kings have already matched up twice in the early part of the season, and St. Louis took both matchups. Across these two games, St. Louis outscored the Kings 10-3.

Simply put, back the better team no matter who is at home.
