Golden State Warriors -4.5 (-110) vs. New York Knicks
Wager: 2 units (win would pay 3.82)
Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks: OVER 214.5 (-105)
Wager: 2 units (win would pay 3.90)
Golden State is coming off of a win at home last night versus San Antonio and no Warrior played more than 31 minutes. They essentially won before the fourth quarter. This team has been playing better ball with Draymond Green healthy and Stephen Curry back in rhythm. Not to mention, Kelly Oubre Jr. is performing at a league-average level which is a huge improvement from the first two weeks of the year.
The Knicks, to their credit, are hot. They have won their last two games by a margin of 37 points and against decent competition in Orlando and Boston. While they are better rested having not played since Monday, it is a tall task to ask them to travel across the country and beat a team with an actual superstar, let alone stay within five. The back-to-back is overblown for Golden State given that both games are played at home. Take the -4.5 and lay it thick with the over because the Warriors’ 3rd-ranked pace will force them to play catch-up.
New Orleans Pelicans +7 (-110) at Utah Jazz
Wager: 1 unit (win would pay 1.91)
These two teams just met on Tuesday night and the Jazz took that game home handily. Utah was favored by six points at home, and now the Jazz are favored by seven after winning by 16. The obvious move to be to hammer Utah back with just a point added to their line but this game might not be as easy.
Tuesday was Lonzo Ball‘s first game back from an issue in both knees and he seems to be getting healthier so that perimeter impact could impact the game enough to make New Orleans competitive. Not only that but the Pelicans are fairly stagnant at the moment with a poorly-spaced team and if anything, they may role out some different lineups and looks at Utah while Utah keeps a similar game-plan.
This makes the +7 bet here appealing enough to lay a little down.
