Bills-Chiefs Prop Bets for AFC Championship

Picks in this article

Josh Allen Rushing Yards: Over 31.5 (-115)

Josh Allen had seven rushes for just 3 yards in last week’s win over the Ravens. In the Wild-Card Round, he rushed 11 times for 54 yards and a TD. And back when the Bills faced the Chiefs in Week 6, Allen went 8 for 42 on the ground.

It’s the number of rush attempts the QB gets each game that makes me like the over here. In the last six games (including the playoffs), he is averaging just over five rushes per game. As long as Allen racks up his usual 5-plus rush attempts, topping 31 yards shouldn’t be a problem.

Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-125)

I hate to take a TD prop at minus odds, but Travis Kelce is a different beast. The tight end not only had two touchdowns when the Chiefs defeated the Bills back in Week 6, but he also has one touchdown grab in each of the last five games.

Beyond that, Kelce has a TD grab in seven of his last nine games, and 12 overall (including playoffs).

No matter who starts at QB for the Chiefs (although the line on the game says it’s going to be Patrick Mahomes), I’ll take Kelce to have at least one touchdown.

John Brown Receiving Yards: Over 50.5 (-110)

Not knowing who is starting at QB for the Chiefs forces my hand to take a second Bills prop.

Taking the receiving yards over for John Brown might seem like a mistake since the WR put up a goose egg in Week 6 versus the Chiefs as well as in the Wild-Card game against the Colts.

However, Smokey was playing hurt in the first matchup with the Bills and looks to be back at full strength now. He caught 8 passes on 11 targets for 62 yards in last week’s Divisional Round game, and went 4 for 72 in Week 17 vs. the Dolphins. With the zero-catch game in the Wild-Card Round sandwiched between two quality contests, I think that could be part of the reason this number is so low.

In every game that Brown has recorded more than one catch (seven contests), his lowest receiving total is 42 yards. He has at least 60 in the other six. As long as Brown gets onto the stat sheet, he’s proven he’ll top 50¬†yards.
