Yesterday’s NRFI was a tough L to take, but we’re back with another that we like today. Taijuan Walker seems to be the likely replacement for Jacob deGrom in the All-Star game, and for good reason. His 2.44 ERA is among the best in baseball, giving me positive vibes about him shutting down the Pirates in the 1st. On the other end, JT Brubaker has been Pittsburgh’s most consistent starter this year. He shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping the Mets at zero for the opening frame.
