The Minnesota Vikings are a team with loads of potential and with their division seemingly crumbling around them, they could be primed for a playoff spot and NFC North berth. The Packers are at odds with legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Bears are turning over their playbook to a rookie, and the Detroit Lions are going to be in their first season without Matthew Stafford in quite some time.

The Vikings went 7-9 last season, but their roster is far better than that. The emergence of rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson was the biggest story of the year for Minnesota and the Vikings expect him to maintain a high level of performance into his sophomore season. Kirk Cousins will enter the season as the guy in Minnesota once again and with Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and star running back Dalvin Cook surrounding him, the offense could be electric.

Their defense made significant strides defensively in the off-season after ranking 27th in the league in yards allowed. The Vikings have Danielle Hunter and Michael Pierce — and Anthony Barr back for the start of the season. Eric Kendricks being healthy is also an enormous boon for the linebacker crew.

Vikings 2021 Make Playoffs Bet: Yes Or No For Minnesota?

YES (+105)

With an improved roster that can thrive at full health and the NFC North in shambles, the Minnesota Vikings are an easy YES (+105) for me to make the playoffs, especially considering them at plus odds. The value here is undeniable. While the Vikings tend to disappoint every year, their offseason improvements on both defense and offense should have you feeling more confident in Minnesota than in recent seasons.
